Flexible (soft) foams with a density of 15–60 kg/m³ are most commonly used in the furniture, mattress, and automotive industries. They require precise vertical or horizontal cutting — PPA and PARK type cutters are perfectly suited for their processing.
Semi-rigid foams (35–100 kg/m³) are used in technical insulation, protective packaging, and damping elements. Their cutting requires machines with increased drive power and reinforced blades.
Rigid foams (30–800 kg/m³) are mainly used in construction as thermal insulation, in refrigeration, and transport. Their cutting requires machines with high structural rigidity and precise guiding systems.
Specialty foams — viscoelastic (memory foam), antistatic, flame-retardant, and acoustic — have growing applications in medicine, electronics, and aerospace. Each type requires individually selected cutting parameters.
